Dear Colleagues,

I am honored to announce that the 4th BioBusiness Asia (BBA) Conference, one of the largest annual biotech investment events in Asia Pacific Region, will be held on July 20 and 21, 2005 in Taipei, Taiwan.

In 2004, the Conference was more successful than ever. Around 300 people including 6 distinguished speakers and over 50 investors attended the Conference from all over the world. Some world leading biotech VCˇ¦s and investors, such as Burrill & Company, MDS Capital, MPM Capital, BioAsia Investments, and China Development Financial Holding Corporation, were among the conference sponsors. Among 35 major conference sponsors, Biotechnology Industry Organization (known as BIO) in USA was the first time to join as a sponsor, and also sent its Vice President, Mr. Steve Lawton, to delivery a speech to the Conference. During 2-day conference, up to 31 emerging biotech companies were selected to present their business strategies and partnering experience -- including 8 companies and institutions from the Netherlands, and others from Japan, Korea, India, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, etc.

BioBusiness Asia Conference has continually generated a lively channel for sharing biotechˇ¦s latest trends, investment and networking opportunities in Asia. In 2005, the Conference will be held in conjunction with APEC Biotechnology Conference and a 700-booth International Biotech Exhibition as usual.

On behalf of the Conference Organizing Committee, I cordially invite you to join the Conference 2005 as a company presenter, sponsor, or seminar attendee. Your active support and participation will be the sole drive to make the Conference successful. I am looking forward to meeting you in July.

Sincerely yours,

Johnsee Lee, Ph.D.
Chairman, Conference Organizing Committee
